LAW AND ETHICS

As a journalist, Law and ethics is my guidebook that helps me navigate the tricky world of news reporting. Laws set the boundaries for what we can and can't do when gathering and sharing information. They protect people's rights and ensure fairness and accuracy in reporting. Following the law keeps us out of hot water and builds trust with our audience.

Ethics, on the other hand, are like our moral compass. They help us make tough decisions about what to report and how to report it. Being ethical means being honest, respectful, and considerate of the impact our stories might have on others. It's all about maintaining credibility and integrity in our work. I am always sure to check my work to make sure I am correctly fulfilling my role as a journalist.
