LEADERSHIP AND TEAM BUILDILDING

From sophomore year to senior year, I've held a leadership position on the GCHS journalism staff yearbook team. Sophomore year I was an assistant editor, junior year I was an official yearbook editor and senior year I am currently the executive, the yearbook editor and the social media manager. Senior year I was thrown for a loop when my entire 2024 class staff members I've grown in journalism with left the class. They held key leadership roles in the different journalism branches. Needless to say, It was a struggle for my advisor and I to work around that and keep the program together. Not only have we grown as a team, but we've also taken advantage of more sports media opportunities, internships and participated in new things. As the executive editor, I make sure everyone is doing there job. More than that, I make sure to provide my assistance and expertise if needed at anytime. As a yearbook editor, I design the cover, dividers, spreads and template layouts for the entire yearbook. I Love my staff, and love them for everything they've done to help me succeed. I'm excited to see my team flourish as I progress to college.
